cd cover 2 cd back 2

The 2009 Mali Team CD is now here and the response has been fantastic!  If you were unable to attend the 2009 Mali Missions Night – otherwise referred to as The “Heart Mali” Night – there is no need to panic!  CDs will be available for sale for the entire month of December at both of New Hope Fellowship’s Mississauga and Downtown Campuses at the end of each service.  Services run every Sunday at 10:00am at the Mississauga campus; and at 10:00am and 3:00pm at the Downtown Toronto campus.  If you cannot make these times, please contact one of the team members personally, or leave a reply on this post, and we will try to arrange a suitable exchange.

There are 6 arranged and recorded tracks from our congregation members, including those from the Mali team.  These make perfect Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers!  May the songs of our hearts be a blessing to you and your loved ones!

Saturday nights “I Heart Mali” couldn’t have gone any better.  Thank you so much for coming out and supporting our team.  And even more importantly, thank you for offering up your hearts, eyes, and ears to feel, see, and hear how God is moving in and through our common unities – Glory.

Yesterday, I received an email from one of our sisters who, in the creation of the “I Heart Mali” c.d., graciously offered up her musical talents.  I am thankful for her heart towards this team and this mission.  On behalf of the entire team, thank you for your love offering to us; and to all those who will be blessed by the gift God has graced you with J.  Allow me to share… Read the rest of this entry »

Designated Offering

November 29, 2009

Thank you to everyone who came out last night to “I Heart Mali” and supported the team!  It was such a wonderful night of sharing and fun; we feel so blessed by your presents of presence – thank you!

On Sunday, December 6th, an opportunity to support the team through a designated offering will be available.  If you would like to support the team financially, please designate your offerings towards the ‘Mali Team‘ on your envelopes.

Thank you.

Missions Committee

Weeks ago, we were faced with the question of what to post first; we struggled.
Of the numerous ideas that were placed on the table, none satisfied the soul.
The hope was to share, to communicate, to illustrate the teams heart.
To capture both reason and purpose in a way that we could share the heart of missions.

The video  ”Our Hearts“, we hope, captures that very spirit.
We actually stumbled across it while we were searching for other footage.
The audio that you are about to hear is the opening prayer and song from the first gathering this team shared.
It has not been cut, edited, or staged.

From the Team Leader

November 27, 2009

Good evening everyone!

Welcome to the highly anticipated and long awaited iheartmali blog-site!   We have so many exciting things in store for you.  When you find a moment, please take a second to navigate around the site.  We have purposely restricted ourselves from flooding the site with content in order to create a clean and simple area for you to follow along enjoyably, without feeling overwhelmed by too many entries.  As well, the missions committee has been working around the clock to meet a strict “content schedule” to ensure consistency with updates.  In the next couple of days, you will find select material being uploaded.  Then as we enter December, you will find three to five new postings per day.

This is truly an exciting time for me, as I have the privilege of leading 14 humble, willing, and serving hearts into a land that has so deeply captured my heart.  We go to this land, not because it is the last piece of the puzzle.  We go, not because we are better.   But we go, because it has been placed on our hearts.  The desire, the passion, the conviction to serve God’s people of Mali is a call we have chosen to respond to.

My hope and my prayer is that through this team, through our actions, and through each members life, that you will also be blessed.  Thank you so very much for all of your prayers and support.  Your words, your donations, and your gifts have always been and continue to be an undeniable factor in mobilizing this program year after year.  Previous missions would not have been the same without your love; and I hope that you will continue to support us in the ways you can.  For even coming to this site and thinking of us, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

For our supporters last year, please enjoy the “Mali Pre-Prayervideo. All the photographs and footage you see are from last years mission. Thank you for making it happen!

In the words of our very own Grace Lee, “Daebak!!” (Success!!)!!!

Yours sincerely,

Samuel Pyo
